TIPS
(on surviving in
the current economy)
I would think that most of you know that the word tips actually derived
as an acronym for “to improve service,” or so I’ve heard anyway. This
is what I’ve been thinking since a dear friend (who will go unnamed)
told me that everyone in the golf business is aggressively trying to steal
their competitor’s guest. Besides an aggressive ad campaign in FGCM, the
best possible way to ensure your regular players and new guests return
when things get tight is to give the absolute best service possible. To have
a heart to heart with your entire staff and keep them employed due to
an overwhelming group of satisfied customers returning to enjoy their
awesome golf experience. I can, and will, always share my great and not
so great experiences with our readers and my large group of very wealthy
and influential friends. Did I forget to mention that they are also the bold
and the beautiful? We, meaning Shannon (our Editor in Chief) and I, were
visiting the Omni at ChampionsGate for a couple of days and Wowee!
These folks aren’t going to lose ANY guests due to bad service, I can testify
to that first hand.
We were treated so well by the most courteous bunch of professionals………
they were everywhere… from valet, to check-in, at the pool bar,
big props to the cabana boys…and special thanks to the spa staff. Next
month we are going to feature more on this extraordinary resort located
right next door to our good friends at ChampionsGate Golf Club, where I
enjoyed a magical round of golf at sunset, and was treated (as always) with
the same dynamic professional service.
It feels too good to shamelessly plug one of our many supporters, when
it’s true.
Another subject that I’ve always been happy to be boastful of is our
Head Golf Professional Carolyn-McKenzie Andrews. All you have to say is
that you’re a member of Tuscawilla CC and the praise comes genuine and
unsolicited by any professional in the industry, and beyond for that matter.
I will never get tired of telling people what a beautiful person and amazing
woman we’re so fortunate to have. I hear this all the time everywhere I go.
Please come by our booth at both of these Official PGA Tour events; Ginn
Sur Mer Classic, Oct. 27th –Nov.2nd at The Conservatory, in Palm Coast, FL
and at Disney during the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, Nov. 6 -9.
Hope to see you there.......
