These young mothers today are amazing!
A good example is Shannon Coates,
our Editor In Chief, has her five-yearold
daughter Madison in ballet, soccer,
swim class, and she will start her first
golf lessons in June at Tuscawilla CC.
When I was a young mother I was too
busy trying to be me to even know who
I was. My daughter and her husband
have planned perfectly to get married,
buy a home in the country, and have
a baby, his name is Tyler and he arrives
on July twelfth, I’m so excited,
I can hardly wait. Oh by the way, I
will be called MiMi. Not anything
that sounds like Grandma, Nanny,
Mee Ma, Grammy, and if any of
you think you’re funny by calling
me something like that…
well you are not.
Speaking of summer golf
camps…were we? Take a look
at page 24 for summer golf
camps around the state.
If that weren’t enough excitement
this year, I went to The Masters
for the first time ever. Not bragging,
but I get up close and personal with the players at some of the media
days and going to the tournaments we have here in Florida. There is
nothing like seeing Tiger, Phil, Fred, Fuzzy and ‘The Guys” on the sacred
grounds of Augusta National. I’m not sure, but I think even the crowds
were a bit different, the over all feeling was simply euphoric, and I had
an absolute ball.
