HARMONY APPROVED FOR NEW “PAWS ON THE PATIO”
Harmony, FL- Greenside’s Restaurant is kicking of a new and exciting dining feature on Friday, November 2 with a special event celebrating the arrival of Café Canine. Beginning at 4:00 PM with a “ribbon chewing” ceremony, the unveiling of Greenside’s Café Canine will give patrons an opportunity to
"paws” on the patio with their pups.
Since Harmony is a pet-friendly community, establishing Café Canine was a natural evolution for
Greenside’s Restaurant,” said Brock Nicholas, general manager of Greenside’s Restaurant.
Osceola County recently approved a “Doggie Dining” ordinance whereby certain establishments
could apply for a permit to allow dog and dog owner tandem dining. The County unrolled the plan to allow this feature to only a few select sites. The code mandates appropriate sanitation requirements as
well as clearly defines approved areas within the dining establishment.
Greenside’s Café Canine will be open to the general public in addition to Harmony’s residents. Hours
of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 5pm – 9pm, and Sunday from 11am – 9pm.
All dogs attending the November 2nd event will receive an opening day free gift from Harmony and
be able to sample the new limited puppy specialty menu. All dogs must be accompanied by their owners to receive these treats. Local pet service companies will also be on hand the day of the opening.
For instance, Photohound dog photography will be present for dog owners that would like to capture an
image with their special pooch during the event as well as McGruff the Crime Dog and the Osceola K-9
Unit!
