FUZZY USES POWERBILTS HE DESIGNED IN SKINS WIN
THOUSAND PALMS, CA - Fuzzy Zoeller used his new PowerBilt Citation FZ1 driver and
irons to outdistance and outshoot his competitors as he and teammate Peter Jacobsen won
six skins and $320,000 in the Champions Skins Game on Sunday in Kaanapali, Hawaii.
Fuzzy’s long straight drives kept the Zoeller-Jacobsen team in the thick of the competition
as the FZ1 driver he designed with PowerBilt’s R&D team consistently had his ball past all
others off the tee.
“I have loved the PowerBilt FZ1 driver from the first time I hit it, and not because it’s named
for me,” Zoeller laughed. “It’s long and accurate. What more ca you ask from your driver?”
The PowerBilt Citation FZ1 is one of the most stable drivers on the market.
The internal
and external weight distribution |
developed by PowerBilt’s R&D team creates maximum MOI,
meaning less club twisting for more accurate drives.
The new pure carbon steel cavity back forged PowerBilt FZ1 irons are for accurate shot
making as well.
“The FZ1 irons set up beautifully at address, and they have that sweet feel that excites
a player when the club strikes the ball,” Fuzzy said. “They sure worked well for me in Hawaii.”
Fuzzy was reunited with PowerBilt golf clubs last year after a long hiatus. Fuzzy played
with PowerBilt when he won the Masters and US Open. Fuzzy says that working with PowerBilt
again is “like coming home.” PowerBilt is owned by Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of
the world-famous Louisville Slugger. H&B’s headquarters is in Louisville. Zoeller lives in New
Albany, Indiana, which is part of the Louisville Metro Area. |
