LATERRA LINKS WINS 2007 PARADE OF
HOMES AWARD
ST. Rotar y Club of St. Augustine to sponsor the St. Augustine Amateur

The St. Augustine Amateur took another big step forward with the announcement that Rotary Club of
St. Augustine has agreed to become the presenting sponsor of the event. Already a nationally recognized amateur event, the 2007 tournament is scheduled for October 19-21, 2007 at the St. Johns Golf Club, and will be styled as “The St. Augustine Amateur, Presented by Rotary Club of St. Augustine”.
Jay Jennison, founder and Tournament Chairman of the St. Augustine Amateur stated,“The association
with Rotary will give us a strong base on which to expand our sponsor participation, and our spectator
and community presence. It also provides the promise of organizational continuity and an experienced
volunteer base which is a necessity for ongoing success.”
Kris Risch, Rotary Committee Chairman added, “For some time we have been looking for a quality
community event that has the potential of raising additional funds for the First Tee and our other Rotary
charities. The St. Augustine Amateur has established itself already as a quality event, and we hope to
be able to bring increased community participation and other sponsors to it. It is a great opportunity for
our club.”
The announcement was made during a recent Rotary Club meeting which included a presentation
of a check to The First Tee for proceeds from the 2006 event.

GINN RESORTS TO HOST PGA TOUR EVENT IN 2007

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL– The PGA TOUR announced that a new event, the Ginn Classic at Tesoro,
will be held October 22-28, 2007 at Tesoro, a Ginn Resorts community in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and
become part of the PGA TOUR’s Fall Series.
Under terms of the five-year agreement with Ginn Resorts, the Ginn Classic at Tesoro will rotate throughout various Ginn Resorts properties.
“We are delighted to welcome the Ginn Classic at Tesoro to the PGA TOUR schedule,” said
PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem. “The Fall Series is an important part of the TOUR schedule,
and the Tesoro Club will be a wonderful venue to challenge the best golfers in the world as they
attempt to secure their place in the 2008 FedEx- Cup.”
“We are thrilled to expand our burgeoning golf tournament portfolio by partnering with the PGA
TOUR to present the Ginn Classic at Tesoro,” said Bobby Ginn, President and CEO of Ginn Resorts.
“We sponsored and produced a Champions Tour event this year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, this event marks our first foray with the PGA TOUR and we look forward to hosting
the greatest golfers in the world at Tesoro this October.”

EARLY ENTRY DEADLINE APPROACHES FOR 24TH ANNUAL PGA TOUR SUPERSTORE WORLD AMATEUR HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Golfers still have time to register for the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur
Handicap Championship and save $35 prior to the event’s early entry deadline on Monday, July 16th.
The World Am will limit the 24th Annual World Am entries to 4,250 participants with the current registration for the “World’s Largest Amateur Single-Site Golf Tournament” standing at 2,953, almost 15% more than last year’s total at this time.
Registration for the world’s largest amateur golf tournament, to be played along Myrtle Beach’s famed Grand Strand from August 26 through August 31, is $490 prior to the early entry deadline. Golfers
