WORLD’S LARGEST SHOTGUN START TEES
OFF ON ALABAMA’S FAMED ROBERT TRENT
JONES COURSES
Nine of Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses
will be the sites of “The World’s Largest Shotgun
Start Tournaments” October 1.
According to co-chairs and sports legends Bart
Starr and Pat Sullivan, this tournament is the first
time in the famed trail’s history that nine courses,
from north to south Alabama, will be in simultaneous
play for a charity event. More than a thousand
players are expected to participate, with charitable
proceeds benefiting the Alabama Sports Hall of
Fame, located in Birmingham.
More than a half million golfers from around the
world played the RTJ Trail last year, making it the #1
tourist attraction in the state.
